Last night during the golden hour I remembered my friend Marlene and how she proclaims there is no nature magic to be felt in this part of the country; not even at the beach.
Although part of me relates with that message, her statement shocked the living (expletive) out of me… most specifically since the beach is one of my favorite places to tap into local nature magic. *I do realize this is indeed *not* a photo of the beach.*
The final draw in this captured moment was the marvel in having seen countless sunsets in my day, and how there have been so many I’ve savored, in the moment and after-the-fact, through images, memories, and the combination of the two, and yet I found the space to romanticize and consider how many I had not savored in the moment. This brought forward the most peculiar and enriching of illuminations to date:
Living in the moment breeds eternity.
~Recollecting the past brings grief, despair, and deep rest.
~Projecting ahead brings fear, anxiousness, and worry.
Both shift Reality to illusion, robbing ourselves of the present, only creating another moment taken for granted by living somewhere other than here & now.
Now is tomorrow’s yesterday.
How do you choose to spend it?
Love, Angela
